Welcome to the OCAx software wiki. Here you will find all the information you'll need to get the most out of your installation. We do our best to keep this wiki updated as the project progresses.
OCAx has been designed as a tool you can use to form a Citizens' municipal observatory in your town and audit the local council. OCAx is free software.
OCAx gives us a way for everyone to interact with our council in a public fashion and in doing so, share the learnt information with the rest of the citizenship. It is a place to learn, share, and battle for the right to information access in the most transparent manner possible.
We suggest that anyone who is starting to use OCAx read this section. You don't have to memorize it, but it is a good idea to be familiar with it.
OCAx has two basic functions:
A part from these two basic functions, OCAx also includes:
Here are three different ways to install OCAx:
When installed, follow the post-installation instructions to finish configuring OCAx.
OCAx will notify the admin when a new version is available and links to the upgrade procedure.
To everyone who's interested in collaborating with the OCAx-OCM project writing code to improve the software or making translations of the software or other related resources, welcome!
If you want to get involved, please come and see us here http://agora.ocax.net/c/ocax/develop
All sorts of things can be done to improve OCAx.
You can find our git repository here. http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/ocax.git
OCAx can be used anywhere by anyone who wants to audit their local council. More translations mean more people will understand OCAx and this will mean more installations and eventually more auditing. Translations help the community grow.
If you can translate, Welcome!
